When the husband reached out a week before his wife’s 40th birthday, he was a bit worried that he had not planned something that would make her feel appreciated. My first words were, well we can certainly do that and more. Armed with knowing her favorite color was blue, I designed the event decor in blue, gold, and white.
The florals not only smelled devine, they were absolutely gorgeous. We added florals to the celebration cart, dinning table, and brunch buffet. Adding silk linen graced with a blue shiffon transformed the kitchen area. The balloon garland transversing the wall made the area a photo focal point.
The chosen drink for the cart was a lemon drop martini. The pearl stirrers with blue rosettes were a pretty detail that certainly made the drink taste even better. The honoree love chocolate cake. We added fresh florals and an acrylic gold happy birthday sign to her cake.
For brunch, the guests enjoyed shrimp and grits, lemon grilled chicken with vegetables, egg casserole, a pastry assortment, kale salad, and fruit salad. Sounds like the perfect brunch meal.
Using The Celebration Cart as the focal point, we were able to transform the kitchen area to a 40th birthday soiree that surprised the honoree and earned hubby some points.
