Among all the holiday gatherings, there is one thing that is necessary:dessert. Whether you are hosting a cocktails and desserts get together with friends or trying to decide what to make for an upcoming cookie exchange, try this recipe. This is my go to dessert this holiday season.
This bark is also great packaged as a holiday gift or used as toppings for desserts like our chocolate mousse cups.
Dark Chocolate Pistachio Pomegranate Bark
1 – fresh pomegranate, peeled ariels separated
10-12 oz bittersweet chocolate bars 70%+ cocoa (Ghirardelli, Lindt, Scharffen Berger, Vosges)
1 – 7 oz bag of pistachio nuts, shelled and chopped
Pinch of sea salt
Break up chocolate bars. Using a double boiler slowly melt chocolate. Stirring until mostly melted. Remove from heat. Continue stirring until all chocolate is melted, smooth and glossy. On a parchment paper lined rimed baking sheet pour and spread chocolate to desired thickness. Sprinkle chocolate with chopped pistachios and pomegranate ariels. Gently press them into the melted chocolate. Sprinkle bark with sea salt and allow to cool. Break up bark and store in air tight container for up to 2 weeks.
