Get ready for a wild adventure. It’s time for a fun safari expedition for a cool 5 year old boy. Using lots of natural elements such as wood serving platters, vines, and wild animals, we created a jungle dessert table for the honoree’s birthday celebration. For the cake, we wanted to do something different than many safari themed cakes that often seem more appropriate for a baby shower or toddler birthday. We opted for a naked vanilla mud cream cake with a caramel glaze. It added the perfect rustic touch. To keep it playful we added a few animals and topped it with a wood happy birthday topper.
Other treats added to the table were gone wild sugar cookies, flower pops, cupcakes, chocolate dipped krispy treats with green bamboo straws, mud cake donuts, animal crackers, and cookies and cream popcorn. At the end of the event the client mentioned that parents were sending their kids back to the table to grab more bags of the wildly addictive popcorn treat. Clear mini boxes were used for candy boxed treats filled with a colorful blend of candy and chocolates. The toy animal on top made it really hard for the kiddos not to grab one as soon as they saw the table.
Thanks for a wild time! Favor boxes were filled with lots of fun things for the kids to enjoy: felt animal slap bracelets, gummy worms, and a fun animal craft. The honoree is a fan of the Wild Kratts series so we also gave away a book wrapped with a lollipop to party guests as well.
