Look whose turning one…the cutest little turtle you ever did see. The handsome fella is affectionally called little turtle by his dad. When talking with his mom about her vision for the party, we discussed several ideas. I am thrilled and excited each time that I get to design events that deliver a personalized experience. The turtle theme tells of the special bond between the birthday boy and his father. I am so glad mom trusted us to bring a sweet green and blue rustic turtle birthday party to life.
As with many of the parties planned by A Sweet Touch, the dessert table is one of the most fun to design. The first design element that was a must have was the awesome wood twine shaped turtle. So..so cute, right? Other rustic elements were used to add to the natural feel such as netting, burlap fabric, wood crates and lanterns. The name banner is made from real moss which adds another level of texture to the table.
A turtle party needs a turtle dessert. And what are the key ingrediants to any dessert worthy of such a title? Number one….chocolate, second…carmel and third…pecans. Simple and delicious. Mini brownies with a drizzle of rich carmel were topped with pecans and a green chocolate shaped turtle. Cookies and cream popcorn was served in navy and green pattern paper cones. The adorable custom cakes and cookies were perfect for a little ones first birthday celebration. The apple pops were a hit. Green apple slices were dipped in chocolate and made festive with navy and green mini pearl sprinkles.
Party favors were dressed up in darling custom hand stamped muslin bags. Hiding inside are multicolored handmade crayons. The perfect size for little hands to hold and create their next master piece.
