As we say farewell to 2016, I wanted to share one last dessert table design from the year – a farewell celebration. What do horns, a steer, cowboy boots, and a horseshoe bring to mind? Where do you think the honorees are moving to in the near future?
Proudly representing the red, white, and blue, they are moving to the great state of Texas. A bold red and white strip cloth mimics the Lone Star State flag and adds a pop of color to the rustic design. I fell in love with the backdrop design. The diagonal wood pattern drew me in. Adding the red handkerchief around the steer’s neck was a playful touch.
Keeping with the rustic theme red velvet cake was served in mason jars. I don ‘t know about you but I want pie for dessert when BBQ is served for dinner. The dessert table featured 3 different types of pies: blueberry, cherry, and one large 12″ apple pie. Other desserts on the bar were lemon shortbread bites with mixed berries, salted caramel cheesecake cups, blueberry lemon lollipops, strawberry lemon lollipops, caramel corn, donuts and cowboy sugar cookies.
