As I prepared to celebrate my daughters 7th birthday over the weekend, I ran across a birthday outfit she wore at her 4th birthday. It was an explosion of color. Perfect for an art themed party. After hugging this cute outfit as if my 4 year old was still in it, I went into a tailspin to find pictures from that party and found myself all emotional over how quickly 3 years have passed. I somehow managed to smile and cry at the same time as I strolled through the 100+ photos from that special day.
Please allow me to pause time and share photos with you from her paint studio art party. It was one of the first parties where I went all out and quickly realized this was something I could do over again and again.
For the art activity, card stock cut outs were used as stencils and glued to the canvas. What I loved about this approach is that the kiddos could paint freely and yet still create a recognizable art piece. The canvases created by my daughter and her brothers still hang on the wall in their playroom.
This was one of my first dessert tables. Don’t recall how much time I spent planning the details, but I do remember loving the design process. The marshmallow pops were a hit back then. Have not added these to a table in awhile.
