Tiny hands and happy feet. There’s a little girl we are excited to meet. What a joy to help family and friends shower a mom-to-be with love, gifts, and sweet treats.
The mom-to-be recently enjoyed a trip to Paris with her closest girlfriends. Her husband surprised her with tickets to Paris for her birthday last year. I was oh so quick to share this amazingly thoughtful and exciting gesture with my husband for him to take note. So, when her friends began planning a shower for her they all agreed a Parisian theme would be perfect.
This is where A Sweet Touch stepped in to create a chic one of a kind dessert table design. While the colors of pink, black, and white are commonly used for a parisian theme, the table design was anything but common. It was unique and elegant to match the personality of the mom-to-be.
The use of different textures, fabrics, and decor elements created a stylish set up for the desserts. The backdrop was a soft and flowing fabric printed with Parisian elements. The primary inspiration for the shower was the quatrefoil fabric that was used as the front table runner. This became the common thread throughout the design. The cupcake wrappers, candy treat bags, parisian cookies and even the top layer of the cake incorporated the pattern. The pink rosette center table runner added a soft pop of color.
The desserts act as works of art themselves with precious baby elements and parisian decor. In addition to the quatrefoil pattern on top of the cake, the cake’s bottom layer mimics a baby’s ruffled bloomers. Just adorable. The chocolate covered oreos dipped in pink and white chocolate were almost too cute to eat topped with a baby carriage, eiffel tower, baby onesies, and ruffle.
Guest party favors were packaged in custom designed white snack cups with vinyl pink and black eiffel towers and baby onesies. Cups were filled with soft chewy strawberry taffy and tied in black ribbon. Guests also enjoyed eiffel tower cookies packaged for them to take home as well.
And of course macarons are a must have dessert for any Parisian themed event. Guests enjoyed 3 flavors of macarons: french almond vanilla cream sprinkled with strawberry sugar, raspberry macaron with raspberry cream, and tie-dye pink macaron with almond cream and raspberry glaze filling.
