Able to cover a living room floor with toys in a minute flat. Greet you with piercing brown eyes that are so very powerful. Has a gigantic smile that shines bright. Whose that princess with a cape? Who is she? She is Super Girl….
I was able to release my inner #SuperGirlPower for this party. So much fun to plan and design. The two princesses, Peyton and Julianna, enjoy running around and flying with superhero capes and princess dresses on at the same time. When working with their Mom, she was having a hard time deciding on whether she should go with a superhero theme or a princess theme. After telling me about all the fun things they love to do, I knew we should do both and combine the themes. Not in a traditional way, but something fresh and bright that would be inviting for both girls and guys.
This #SuperGirlPower party shines bright in yellow and blue with touches of gold. The happy birthday backdrop for the dessert table highlights these colors with gold dots at the bottom. The use of gold stars was carried throughout the design of both the dessert table and the stylized place settings for the guests.
As guests entered the room, they transformed into super girls and guys. Each guest received their very own super star cape and mask. To help the girls feel like super princesses, custom capes were made for them with princess crowns and their initial. The masks were used to decorate the milk glass jars. A gold wood star was added to the stripped yellow straws. Each place setting included tableware and a party favor take out box with a special message to all super friends from the birthday girls.
The #SuperGirlPower dessert table was covered in yummy eye catching treats enticing both adults and kiddos. Blue and yellow jello cups were decorated with “pow” and “zap” stamped wood spoons. Chocolate covered oreos were topped with stars. Cupcakes and krispy treats were decorated in theme colors and personalized toppers. Each girl had her own mini cake so guests could sing happy birthday to them individually. Sour ribbon and gum drop lollipops surrounded by yellow jelly beans were custom made by A Sweet Touch.
And the cake! Simply darling. The super girl image on top of the cake was created by hand using buttercream. Love the yellow and white petal pattern. A gold glitter Super Girl topper was added to the cake for an extra bit of sparkle.
Custom designed signage was used to decorate and personalized the cupcakes and gum ball tubes. The #superGirlPower graphics definitely resembled the birthday Super Girls.
The super girls had a blast and so did I. Super Girls Unite!
